PROBLEM

A lack of a preventive maintenance (PM) program for the critical turret bearing application left an end user mill scrambling to prevent a major shutdown without a spare to replace the failed bearing. NSK had been offering the PM program and were called in to support the transition to replace the bearing when it failed.
