  Roller Bearings

Roller bearings are more diverse than ball bearings and their rolling elements can be of differing shapes and can carry greater loads than ball bearings. For example, cylindrical roller bearings will accommodate heavy radial loads, whereas sphericals will carry heavy radial loads combined with moderate thrust loads.

TAPERED ROLLER BEARINGS
Tapered roller bearings are designed to take combined heavy radial loads and heavy thrust loads in one direction while operating at moderate speeds. Metric tapers feature a simplified part number for a complete bearing. Inch tapers require a part number for the cup and one for the cone. The difference between the metric and inch tapers is only in the dimensions of measure for the bearings. Tapered roller bearings are also available in two and four row versions to support high radial and axial loads. They feature an optimized cage design and come in a range of special materials for arduous conditions.
